We met on our first day of college but didn’t start dating until the following February.  I distinctly remember standing in the doorway to a friends’ dorm room talking about him and I uttered the words, “Well, whoever ends up having his kids is going to be one lucky lady.” Immediately after I said that, I found out he was dating that friend at the time. Talk about being embarrassed. Needless to say, it took a lot more than Dave’s roommate, Mark’s convincing me, a trombonist’s persistance that we were perfect for each other (Hi Justin!) and an Act of God (Ice Storm ’96) to get us together, but once we went on that first date, we were inseparable.  In fact, when David finally proposed, I received more “It’s about time!” comments than “Congratulations!” comments.

Here we are over fifteen years later with three kids and a cat living in a suburb of Austin, driving a minivan, and trying to keep our grass green, blogging pictures with our new-to-us iPhones.  Enjoy!
