miss-miss lights…

James sometimes sinks into the world of a 21 month old’s vocabulary.  Today was such a day… Despite his knowing full well that it’s “Christmas” — he says miss-miss because that is what Lowell can say.

We put the fake tree up today because the glee from James was too much to not to.  Our plan is still to go dig up a live Christmas tree and plant it in our yard in honor of our 1st year in the house and the baby’s birth, but it looks now like we won’t actually be using the tree inside.  In some ways, that’s good.  The tree won’t have such a period of shock being inside in the warm for however-many days, we can get a bigger tree than will fit in our dinky 8 foot ceilings, we won’t have to wait for the guest room to be guestless to move the tree into that room (so as to limit the cat’s access to it — every year he barfs all the fake needles up from the fake tree… real ones would be really gross because they’d probably actually digest a little bit… I don’t even want to imagine) … BUT … the tree is up and the boys are rediculously happy about it.  I love seeing their wonder and excitement.  It makes having kids totally worth it.

P.S. Seven days until our due date and no signs of being close to having a baby yet (well, besides the huge belly and the stretch marks)
