Holy Schmoly
Korben is now in 6-12 month sized clothes. He just blew through the 3-6 month size! The 3-6 month things we have only barely fit him in a paper diaper and are pretty difficult getting on and off. We’ve had him in 9-12 month sized sleepers for awhile now, but only because I didn’t have any in the 3-6 or 6-9 month sizes. I am stunned and amazed that my 3 month old is wearing such huge clothes. Well, relatively speaking.
I have a ton of photos to share, but it would be easier to just point you to our flickr photostream. I’ve made them all public for a short while and will be eventually moving most of the photos over to friends and family only to “close the lid” on them, so to speak.
Our vegetable garden is actually a garden. So far, we have a handful of sunflowers (that sprouted this morning!!) a dozen marigolds (good for bugs I hear) three clumps of basil plants, four clumps of chives, about a dozen 8 inch tall tomato plants and plans for some peppers, beans, and the rest of the chives/basil seeds that we did not start indoors, oh, 6-8 weeks ago. I took pictures of all that, too, btw, just haven’t gotten to it edit-wise.
Speaking of editing, it’s come to a screeching halt. I downloaded Lightroom 2.3 and am re-learning photo editing. I’d learned the “right” way, then made up “my own” way and I’m back to more of the “right” way but on a new program. I’m so dizzy from it that the editing is maybe 3-4 pictures per day versus the batch editing I could do on photoshop. The exposure brush is what’s holding me up. It’s A-MAZING but also confusing to learn at the same time. I may end up buying the program (educational discount, thanks to the whole teaching thing) but I don’t see myself giving up photoshop anytime soon.
I’ve also been leaving the back door open a lot more. Time to buy a screen panel. If I leave the door open, the boys are much more interested in playing outside and the flies are much more interested in playing inside… :-)
I just saw pear trees at Wal*Mart for $20/tree and am sooo tempted to go buy one. BUT I think I will wait, instead, on my parents’ truck and a trip to a nursery to buy a shade tree for the back yard. A couple of cheap pear trees would look great out front, though… hrmm…
WELCOME
