Okay, Misty, but I’ve totally got to do this photo-style. Because I can.

unimportant

adjective
1. not important; “a relatively unimportant feature of the system”; “the question seems unimportant” [ant: important]
2. devoid of importance, meaning, or force [syn: insignificant] [ant: important]

The six things, unimportant things, that I love, in no particular order:

1. Lightroom. This is a new love, actually. I have the entire creative suite 3 but have fallen head over heels for Lightroom’s speedy editing and interface. I also love that we saved two-thirds of the price because David is an educator. Rock on. Also? This box. I love this box. (But it’s clutter so out it goes.)
99 :: 100

2. Grass. Some would argue that this is important, but this kind of grass is really just a weed that we let hang around our back yard because we can’t afford to upgrade. Plus the boys go out and do stuff like this. I totally dig this bouquet.
95 :: 365

3. Bokeh. I love me some bokeh. It’s why I want to spend $1800 on a new lens. Totally don’t have the money. Totally wish I did.

4. My hair in this picture. I have dreams about that haircut. It was the best. EVER. (James was 4 months old here.) — UPDATE — After praying about this (I really, desperately want this haircut again) I feel led to keep growing my hair out until I can give 12 inches to Locks of Love. Their minimum requirement is 10 inches, but I feel called to the number 12. So it will be awhile, but I can get this haircut again someday. I am so energized by this goal! (In case you’re wondering, I have approx. 6 inches of growth past that haircut, 6 more inches to go!)

5. Cloth diapering.
dipes, wipes, and an unhappy Korben

It’s true. This really is unimportant. (With all the debates claiming that the water used to wash it is worse than the human waste sitting in the land, diapering is a catch-22 these days). It doesn’t matter to me how you choose to diaper your child. As for me, I love cloth. And I won’t make the ridiculous claim that it helps the kids potty train any earlier because I’ve got a 24 month old that is still in diapers and still on the completely uninterested side of getting out of them anytime soon. And we avoid the whole nighttime cloth diapering debacle (leaks) by sposifying their hineys at night (the little two, James has been potty trained for a long time.)

6. I hate to say it, but I love all the little unimportant moments that, when combined, become the most important thing someone could have: life! You know those little moments that you can’t wait for to be over? Like vacuuming. And setting the table. And getting your car towed off by the big truck man. And when the toddlers are fighting in the garage. And making grocery lists. And washing dishes. And playing peek-a-boo with the 2 year old. And unloading the groceries. And a toddler covered in stickers. And a moment to myself to spin yarn. Oh, and the bottom right picture – having a baby! (This is a collage of the everyday moments I tried to capture before our third son’s arrival. He was fifteen days late.)

So there you have it. Now I have to come up with six people to tag? Well… I’ll edit this when I get my evening computer time ration. I’ve gone over on my morning allowance and I really need to attend to the, ahem, more important things in life. Reading a book 300 times, playing with too many matchbox cars, worrying about when I’m supposed to get a shower in today, keeping the 2 year old and 3 year old from killing each other, you know… life.
