Yep, too long! Let’s see, an update…

I’m practicing for my photog business that I hope to launch next year so I’m doing lots of practice sessions and WOW! So busy! K-baby went to sleep two and a half hours late Sunday night and woke up Monday morning with a top tooth. The other top tooth will break though any day now. The little man is not as toothy as James was at this age, but James was a freaky speedy baby on everything (crawling at 7 months old, 8 teeth at 8 months old, walking at 9 months old) so it’s nice to have a baby stay a baby longer. I’ve eliminated all obvious forms of dairy (milk in my cereal, cheeses, sour cream, ice cream, anything that says cream) as an experiment to see if it’s affecting Korben’s digestion at all and … it seems it had been. Since limiting my dairy intake, he’s started pooping. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence with the timing of teething or if it really is from my diet, but poop is good. Very good. I don’t know how I ended up with two very constipated babies but I did. Oh well.

I’ve also started converting all the cloth diapers over to snaps. The touchtape tabs were getting scratchy, curly, and worn. This is sooo much better.

I’ve also got an idea to sew up a big calendar for the boys and using snaps to snap the numbers on the thing. James really wants a calendar, but I don’t want something tacky … I’ve got an idea in my head and I just have to find the time to actually sew the thing together.

Lowell is potty training himself with no effort on our part other than pulling his underwear up for him. It’s amazing. I never thought it could be this easy. My secret? Wait until they’re ready.

One more picture. I can’t resist. I’m dreadfully behind on personal photos… but I caught Korbs practicing his air guitar.

(it’s been months and months since our radio/CD player in the van worked (yes, yes, we drive everywhere SILENTLY), so he isn’t really, but it sure looks like it)

  1. that is great. I am working on the quiet books for the ‘safari’ and now halloween costumes, they are going to be the Wizard of Oz. Hannah is cutting teeth finally. Elijah potty trained himself as well and now Esther is right behind him the other two could care less and now Hannah is showing interest. Please stop growing so fast. At least I am not the only one that wants the baby to stay a baby a little longer.

Yes… I want the baby to be the baby for as loooong as possible! Those costume ideas sound GREAT! We don’t do costumes normally because the boys do not enjoy dressing up but I’m sure we can get them interested in something superhero before the end of October… maybe.
