Korben turned 9 months old earlier this week and celebrated by pooping all over me. We were in Babies R Us picking up a new chair for the kitchen table for him and I was wearing him in the mei tai. I smelled something and thought it was him but when I took him off to put him in the car I knew it was him. I cleaned him up and changed him into a fresh diaper and outfit. (FYI, he was in a sposie. We’ve never had a blowout in a cloth diaper. Never.) Needless to say, I had to make the long drive home covered in poop.

With the poop talk out of the way, here’s some other stuff he’s busy doing:

teething
sitting
rolling everywhere
eating cheerios
crying
waving
clapping
“Mama” and “Dada” depending on who is with him (yes, he gets them right)
made train sounds at 8 months old
and laughing.

No rocking on hands and knees, no crawling, no scooting, no pushing up to sit on his own, no pulling up to stand, none of that. We’re not worried though. Lowell didn’t do any of that until late and he’s doing pretty well getting around these days.

We’ll be taking him in for his 9 month appointment and 6 month shots soon. We just switched insurance policies and are waiting for their new cards in the mail.

He’s so happy we can’t help but be head over heels in love with this little man. If you could hear his laugh, you’d agree. (Ooo, project! I should try to get his laugh recorded via the computer soon, now that I know how.) I can’t believe his first birthday is just around the corner.
