twilight

I went to the first-ever MuMo meet-up Sunday night and walked away thinking I really didn’t fit in very well but it was fun, nonetheless! One big thing I got out of the evening was that I was behind the times in having not read the Stephenie Meyer series. MuMo Kim let me borrow her copy of Twilight and I read it in 12 hours. Good book. I put the movie up on our netflix queue so I will wait until I’ve seen the movie until I declare whether or not I’m a fan.

UPDATE – I just got notification that book 2 is on its way via PaperBackSwap.com! Hurray for free books!

Things are really frustrating around here with the boys being sick but not really sick. They sound awful and have clear runny noses but no real coughing or sneezing or fevers. Lowell has passed the “I want to be a big boy” stage and is now in the “I have to go potty” (AFTER he has a big messy accident) stage. I’ve been cleaning up an average of 4 accidents a day. Poopy messy wet accidents. James is okay… just won’t stop talking. I think 4 year olds actually do talk just to hear their voices. Korben’s sleeping is very poor and frustrating. BUT I didn’t hop on here to complain. Really, I didn’t.

I think I’m going to test my sanity by trying some crafts with the boys today. If they come out, you know even if they don’t, I should get some pictures of it. I’m thinking we’ll start with some black construction paper spiders. Now… where did I put those googley eyes?

Alex - We’re all half sick here, too. Not fun. Although today has been pretty good, since I’ve just stopped expecting to accomplish much..

I am avoiding Twilight, on the grounds that I don’t have time to get hooked right now… I think I’m the only one left in the country that hasn’t read them.October 21, 2009 – 2:33 pm

kim mills - Jen, I’m sorry you felt like you didn’t fit in very well. I personally think you fit in great. I am very glad you were able to come chat and brainstorm with us.
