Happy Birthday Mr. San Luis!

I never thought I’d be wishing my Jr. High Band Director a happy birthday on my blog, let alone 20 years after Jr. High!  We were honored to join the party at County Line BBQ.  We enjoyed hearing all of the “Manuel Stories” that everyone shared and had quite a few laughs as well as some more poignant moments. Manuel is more than a band director; he is an inspiration to hundreds, if not thousands, of people. He touches lives and changes people for the better. Manuel sees something in everyone and makes a lot of us want to be better people. He’s an amazing baker – nay – pastry chef – and a wonderful cook to boot. Manuel enjoys the finer things in life without losing his grounding. He tells some great stories and gets the job done right. Nearly everyone who knows him loves him. I’m so thankful to be able to call him a friend.
