I surprise even myself sometimes

cedar park middle school band pictures is my first success!!!!!! THIS is what I was trying to do with our personal web page! All it took was some delving into the world of coding. Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can.

I learned basic, old-school HTML years ago from my dad, who I love and trust. He bought me a book which has a table-philosophy and I can say that I got the point of creating tables to make a site by hand, but I always thought there must be a better way. I mean, all those table tags get confusing and I never could remember which cell or how many columns to span or where I was in the code on the actual page as it appears graphically. No longer are tables the way to go for me. CSS is much easier to control and understand. I mean, just take a look at the HTML source code on that site (linked above) and, with the exception of the mumbo-jumbo added by geocities servers, it’s pretty simple, straightforward, and clean. What more could I ask for? Not bad for 2 days of learning. -Jen
