So, the pediatrician said that James could eat any of the food that we eat. We have been giving him samples of our food for months now, but tonight, James got his first slice of pizza…Hungry Howie’s Pizza to be precise (this is the first time that I’ve tried Hungry Howie’s, and I give the pizza chain my full endorsement). James’ first pizza was a Thin-Butter-Crust pizza topped with ham (Hungry Howie’s specializes in flavored crusts, and the butter crust sounded the least adventurous for a first timer). James did great…

Here’s what he learned:

1. How to hold a slice of pizza
2. The bite-and-pull technique (this enables James to eat only a small portion of his slice, instead of the whole thing)
3. The cheese is not permanently attached to the crust
4. Thin crust pizza gets crispier toward the edge of the pizza

Well, I’m a proud papa, that’s for sure. Next up for James: Fire in the Hole Wings…maybe…

yay for first-time pizza-eaters. bro, there’s a reason they call them “fire in the hole” wings… you gotta’ wait ’til he’s at least 7 before you subject him to that kind of cruelty.
