Little guy doesn’t say his “D”s … tonight we took off his diaper to let the little man have some nekkid time (to let him air out, if you will) and at one point, he stood up, turned to David and announced, “I nee unnerwears! C’mon Daddy!” and took David to the underwear drawer in the big boys’ room. So we put him in “unnerwears” and he was the happiest he’s been all day. Did I mention he just turned two?

True. I missed posting a day (or two, it’s now after midnight) but a big editing job landed in my lap (2500+ from a wedding to edit for another photog) and I’ve been busy with other photos in a different catalog in Lightroom from my personal shots. Alas. Friday. Hectic. Blurry. Loud. and Saturday, showing off my new chair. No, the cat didn’t destroy it; it came like that for cheaps. I’ll probably spend some time later this year recovering it.

soccer mom

It’s official. I am a minivan driving soccer mom. Granted… this is indoor soccer and the games are at, like, 8 AM… Here’s one photo of James who took to it like a duck to water. Lowell on the other hand…well, he didn’t want anything to have to do with the whole operation and was much more interested in how to change the battery on my camera.

Yes. I let him jump on his bed. Yes, I did. And you know what? I haven’t captured such unbridled joy as I did just now. It was awesome. What fun we have while the big one is away at school! Here’s my favorite one of the series…

And in case you’re wondering… the comforter was mine from college. When we moved L to his big boy bed, he wanted a comforter so I pulled that one out, washed it, and put it on his bed. He won’t part with it now, even though it has (gasp!) flowers on it. Oh well. My 3-almost-4-year-old sleeps with a flowery comforter and he loves it.

I noticed purple circles under Lowell’s eyes last night before bedtime and was hoping he’d sleep in… He and James share a room and L always gets up with J early in the morning to see him off to school. Thankfully, Korben did not wake him and he slept there on the couch until 11 A.M.

I was tidying up this afternoon after we got back from picking up James from school and running to the post office and I spied this quiet scene. All the boys were behaving for a few minutes, thanks to their Christmas presents. I don’t know how long that will last.
