We were going to go see Groundhog Day at the Student Union on-campus movie for our first date, but the ’96 ice storm shut down all of campus and I-35 between Hillsboro and Austin so no one could make it to Blockbuster to rent the movie. (Oh the days before streaming Netflix!) When we got [...]
He’s at Grandma’s house right now. We miss him here at home, but we smile, knowing how happy he is to be spending time with Grandma and Grandpa without either of his brothers with him. He was so giddy to leave us. *sniff*
Here, he has drawn a super mario level out for us on [...]
We layed low (laid low?) for Christmas Break this time and stayed home for the most part. On Christmas Eve, we drove up to my mom and dad’s house and came back on Monday, the day after Christmas. Our New Years was just an “everyday” kind of day [...]
Today was a blast! I had to run downtown to drop off all of Doberenz Photography’s video gear that I had at my house and David thought it would be fun to go as a family, so we did! After meeting Allen at Umlauf sculpture gardens, we headed over to the Zilker Playground and let [...]
In lieu of a Christmas Card (seriously, there was no time to get one done with the trip to Chicago falling two weeks before Christmas), we did a Happy New Year card. Hopefully you’ve all gotten yours by now! It was my biggest mail-out to date at 90 cards. Whew! Facebook has really connected us [...]
Thanks, Dad, for the new Bible.
The only tomato on the cherry tomato plant fell off today.
And L is super excited about the old computer.
Just some of the shots from yesterday, edited to be cooler than “normal.”
I had every intention of sharing the “best” photo from today – one that I knew, the minute I took it, that it rocked. Instead, I changed my mind and am going to show you the two that totally redefined “best” for me tonight. These are blurry. These aren’t cool or well composed or anything [...]
This was the same day as the previous post but I totally forgot to come back to the blog and add them. We don’t often go to this splash park because it’s super crowded, kinda big, and not secure (not enclosed) but it was fun for a visit.
The boys are just getting to that age where I can show up to David’s school with the boys and no one ends up in tears (especially me). Lowell camped out in David’s office the entire time the middle schoolers were around. James clung to me most of the time and Korben, well, Korben stole [...]
. . . of letting the contents of my purse sit up here as the first post on the blog for as long as it did.
. . . I also had no intention of getting the boys white tee-shirts and dark jeans and taking some bluebonnet pictures but I did that, too.
[...]
You’ll likely never see any “typical” easter-egg hunt pictures or any of that stuff here. We don’t do easter baskets and we don’t do candy. We don’t dye eggs. We don’t visit the easter bunny. We don’t do egg hunts.
Maybe I’m robbing my boys of the “easter experience” but I don’t think so. I [...]
