Remember when God said “Not Yet” to a prayer of mine? The first week of January, He changed His answer. I didn’t think it was the right time — I had to work a wedding that same day and it would mean leaving the house at 8:30 AM without getting home until after 11… [...]
I’m on my phone; it’s late, but I wanted to put a quick update on the blog. David goes into surgery at 8 am Friday morning. I’ll be with him and update when he is out of surgery.
My oral surgery on Monday went well and everything is healing up nicely from that procedure.
I officially hate going to the dentist. Tooth #15 cracked in half. Turns out the whole thing is decayed and I get a root canal next week. I also get to live with a cracked molar for a little longer. I see a specialist on Tuesday to have the root canal consultation and then have [...]
I’m hesitant to blog this but I’m putting it up here “for the record” so to speak.
On my way to my 6 week appointment at AABC with the little guys after Korben was born, (I remember exactly where, too — 183 headed South under the I-45 Tollway bridge), I noticed a gritty crunch on [...]
Yesterday my parents came down to watch the boys so I could get some work done. The work I had in mind was to run errands that I cannot normally run with 3 boys to load and unload from the van. I mean, I could, but I don’t want to put up with it. The [...]
We went to Plano Thursday morning and came back on Sunday morning. James had a fever Sunday night and Monday morning, it was 102ºF. It took 4-5 days for his fever to go away. We even went to the doctor’s office (I’m dreading the bill for that since we have to [...]
Ok. Deep Breath. I will be healing from this one for a long time. First and foremost, I am suffering diastasis of symphysis, though not officially diagnosed (no x-rays at the birthing center!) Please PLEASE pray for my recovery. I’m confined to the lazy-boy and the toilet and cannot walk. It takes me 30+ [...]
They’d look much worse if I let myself rub them. Â I’m exhausted from being sick and pregnant at the same time…. Oh? And we’re not out of the duplex yet so, technically, we’re still moving. Â You’d think that moving and being pregnant would be quite enough to handle but God thought I could handle a [...]
*typed 1-handed due to feeding Lowell, so please forgive all the lower-case
we have to turn in a letter of intent in a week and have yet to receive renewal notice from the management. i was very (and still am) upset by the management’s lack of professionalism. after a phone call or two or three, [...]
Pray for my dad. Please.
He’s in surgery right now as doctors are trying to save his left leg.
Okay, let me back up and give some background to this prayer request. I drove up to my folks’ place on Thursday with the boys since David had U.I.L. competition with his band on Thursday and [...]
David and I talked it over and after some prayer we decided that getting the work done where my parents live would be a good way to solve the lack of a rental car (our insurance took that part out of our policy to keep the monthly premium down) and getting our car worked on [...]
I’ve always been guessing on James’ weight since we sold our bathroom scale at a garage sale when we lived in Rio Grande City. At one year old, he weighed almost 23 pounds and we expected him to slow down quite a bit when his pediatrician said she only expected him to gain [...]
