Yup, he’s a year old!
Here’s his stats:
20 lbs 3 oz (10th percentile, tiny guy)
31 inches tall (between the 75th and 90th percentile (love how specific that is), tall little one)
healthy, but slow on all his milestones, seeing as how he’s not pulling up to standing yet or cruising (duh) but he’s [...]
I updated our photos page. Hadn’t done anything since July of ’07 so I have about seven months’ worth of pictures to add. I like having those collages because it gives me a good overview of all the pics we took and when we took them just in case I’m searching for anything specific.

I just bought a shuffle. A (RED) one. For $80. Now they’re nearly half-price now, or slightly lower with twice the memory.
Go. Stinking. Figure.
This is James at the Children’s Museum in San Antonio. We went with Misty and Cara but lost them when the school field trips started arriving. It was more difficult than I thought it would be to take pictures and hold Lowell at the same time so most of the pictures are quite blurry [...]
Probably my favorite layout so far. Took me 30 minutes. Okay, maybe 45 minutes once I figured out the resolution was wonky (hence the circle not being perfectly centered)… I figure this is a good right-hand page cuz of that little bit of extra space on the left.
Oh. Yeah. Credits.

So, I’ve been nursing for over two years now. James weaned at 13 months of age due to my pregnancy and the pain and a drop in supply, but Lowell is still going strong with 5 nursing sessions each day. Low and behold, breastmilk has been found to contain stem cells. Amazing. I really [...]
Okay, I’ll do it again, second week in a row. The meatballs got pushed back a few days cuz we couldn’t possibly get home to cook them in time after going to walk through a house over in Cedar Park, so we *gasp* ate out instead.
Monday – Sweet-n-Sour Meatballs, rice, carrot sticks, [...]
I have tears streaming down my face right now. I just saw the Trailer for Ricki Lake’s documentary film about birth. The film embodies my philosophy and also my experience of having had one hospital and one completely, utterly, joyfully UNMESSEDWITH birth.
Three quotes from the trailer really grabbed my heart.
Cesarian is extremely [...]
Oh.
My.
God.
I just discovered digital scrapbooking. This is my first page ever. It took me an hour and my kitchen table isn’t taken over with papers and scissors and photos and pens and stickers. It’s all done in Photoshop, which you already know I adore. I’m totally loving this. I [...]
I am trying to get both boys sleeping in the same room. This would allow us to use the first bedroom as a toy room (at first) and a packing room (in a few months as we prepare to buy and move into a house) while the garage becomes the box-storage room. I am thinking [...]
James and Lowell are starting to play together. It’s really sweet to see James interacting with his little brother, though I admit I did expect it to happen a lot sooner. Lowell’s birthday is this month.
Lowell is pretty cautious around James and I think that’s part of why he’s not walking or [...]
