Fun with Wordle

Click the picture to take you to the wordle page.  These are all the tags on our public photostream pictures over on flickr.  hcbcnorthwest is our church, ravelry is a yarn-knitterly-crochet haven online, and daves collection are his hot sauces.  The rest should be self explanitory.

What's in a name?

I enjoyed an evening with other women at a friend’s house last night and by the time the evening was winding down, we were discussing various boys’ names.  David and I have settled on a girl’s name but not on the boy’s name.  We are the kind of people who would love to have the...

Anna - I have always loved the name Christian, it was our #2 choice for Aidan. And I think Collin and Dexter are cute and I like how they go with your other two boys’ names! Boy names are really hard for Mike and me, too. So of course we get 2 boys, right? :) June 27, 2008 – 4:37 pm

It's like springtime in June…

We have started emptying the boys’ bath water into buckets at night and then pouring the “greywater” on the mulch around the base of the trees and we are amazed at how about 5 gallons per night per tree is resulting in new growth all over both trees. I say trees, but they’re really scrawny...

Jen - Don’t worry about bath water for the plants…since Atlanta is in a drought (i.e. your water is shut off if you’re caught watering your lawn), the news covers alternative ways to use water and one was using bath/shower water for your plants. It’s totally fine for the environment and the plants.June 27, 2008 – 10:22 am

Anna - Sometimes when I comment it doesn’t go through… so I’m crossing my fingers for this. If you’re so sick, maybe it IS a girl?? I’m sorry that you’re feeling so crappy. :( Have you tried baked potatoes with cottage cheese mixed with salsa? It cuts down on the cottage cheesiness and it’s quite delish. Just a thought :) There are a BILLION cottage cheese recipes out there that try to “disguise” it — just search for body for life recipes or msn groups, things like that… you have to eat a ton of cottage cheese in that diet. Good luck!!!June 24, 2008 – 4:57 pm

Jennifer - . . . that’s because I have to moderate the comments before they post. I will not eat anything with cottage cheese in it (or salsa for that matter).June 24, 2008 – 5:51 pm

Soooo Close

Yesterday, at Grandma’s house, Lowell started standing (from nothing, the floor, no support, no help) so we know walking is not far off.  He is officially 16 months old today (Sunday, the 22nd) so we’re hoping he can start walking soon.  The pediatrician said if he’s not walking confidently by the 18 month mark, we...

Anna - That’s exciting! I bet it won’t be long now… he’s just doing it at his own pace. A couple of my girlfriends had kids who weren’t walking until 18 months either :) He’s a cutie!June 22, 2008 – 4:15 pm
