I had a LOT of baby movement on the drive today. I can now jiggle my belly and feel a baseball-sized head up high, with many kicks down low (as opposed to up in my rib cage where they were earlier this weekend) so I’m pretty sure we’re breech. Darn leaning back in the driver’s [...]
We’re back in Texas, and though I loved visiting family, I have to admit I had a tingle go through my body when we crossed back over into Texas… just so glad to be back in my home state, even a state that the first thing you see when you cross the Red River [...]
Being pregnant again has gotten me thinking about the coming birth. I wanted to record Lowell’s… and I’m thinking of making an entire memory book out of the jungle george freebie kit by Andrea. It probably isn’t very creative of me to use only one kit (plus random other elements) for [...]

I’m picturing this as a cover to a scrapbook for Lowell. A lot of my friends do their pages chronologically. I don’t know how well that will work for me, but here is my attempt at starting at the beginning, of something, for once.
This took me an hour. Seriously. I am so uncreative today! It doesn’t help that Lowell just threw a quarter-cup of applesauce all over the kitchen floor before I could stop him and that the cat barfed all over the livingroom, not to mention James throwing a fit about me parking the car [...]
That means that all the parks and splash parks and pools are void of preteens running rampant once again. I took the boys to the splash park across the street from our neighborhood (just far enough away not to be walkable) two days in a row and actually remembered to take a camera with [...]
… and not just because I zoomed in with the lens, either. It must be all those tootsie pops I’ve been having lately. This is inspired by Alysia. I took weekly pics with my 1st pregnancy… haven’t remembered to with this one on any sort of regular basis, but I did wear the [...]
But I’m so proud of that little ball! I whipped it up in under 30 minutes (while Dave played Halo3 with his bro and buddies and we didn’t have internet on the mac — the router finally bit the dust) from start to finish. It’s made from 4 old shirts of James’ (and [...]
Nothing to report. I don’t remember my blood pressure but it was, like, 106/60 or something close to that. I go in on the 9th for my glucose test. I’m up to 128, still 7 pounds shy of my unpregnant goal weight for my height, but at least I’m still gaining weight. Being underweight is [...]
I have officially been pregnant for two whole years of my life.
(41+39+24)/52=2
James, 3 year check-up
32.6 pounds (56th%) 38.5 inches tall (62%)
Lowell, 18 month check-up
head – 48.1 cm (75%, large cranium I guess) 22 pounds, 14 ounces (14%) 33 inches (72%)
So, James is getting much taller and Lowell slowed down (in the last 3 months) on the height. Though [...]
