In addition to the new tires and brake pads, I think we should get some seat covers. James loves to put his feet up on the back of the seat, so I threw a towel over it for the time being.

We got the mazda mpv tonight. There’s some minor work to do on it (oil change, new tires thanks, dad & mom B! replace a brake light lightbulb, new windshield wipers thanks, dad K! brakes need new pads, state inspection) but it’s sitting out front. And… it’s not a saturn.

SO, it’s just the transaxle shift cable. Just a mere $570 repair. BUT the mechanic found 3 more things that need attention and will eventually become a big problem but aren’t yet. We declined the repair of the 3 little things in hopes of making a decision and potentially finding a more affordable mechanic to [...]
The car we were going to trade in is stuck in reverse in our driveway, so we can’t start it (and therefore, can’t drive it to the dealership to trade it in on the minivan)… David still has the coupe to get to work. Luckily, both car seats do fit in it, so if we [...]
I know they hold their value, and I know they’re rated really highly by Consumer Reports… but there are so many transmission recalls on their Odysseys over such a large year span that I hesitate to look any farther. Any Honda Odyssey in our price range is going to be at least 5 years [...]
Sounds like today is going to be a tragedy, too. Yesterday Lowell couldn’t/wouldn’t stop crying. This morning, it’s James; crying to the point of not being able to breathe. And when we’re supposed to be leaving for church. *sigh* If we didn’t have the sweet moments, sometimes it just doesn’t seem like it’s worth it.

So we did the pumpkin patch again today with Daddy and it wasn’t nearly as fun as it was on Friday… because Lowell was a grumpy-grump, because Lowell was a tired grumpy grump, I correct myself. So we left around noon and he slept on the drive home (an hour) but missed his normal 2 [...]
We’re headed back out to Sweet Berry Farm again this morning, this time with Daddy.

31 week checkup –
102/68, up 16 pounds overall (gained 16 with James but started off 10 pounds heavier, gained 26 pounds with Lowell but started 5 pounds lighter, expected weight gain to be about 23-25 pounds total), TONS of movement, Braxton Hicks about 5 times per day, no complaints.

No updates while I knit 3 sweaters in less than a month… unless David has something to say.
