Okay, Misty, but I’ve totally got to do this photo-style. Because I can.

16 pounds 12 ounces with diaper (BumGenius 3.0, stuffed with an infant prefold) – almost 17 pounds!
16 pounds 8 ounces in his birthday suit, so technially, that’s his weight – though he’s always wearing a diaper so I think they should go with [...]
Well, technically Grandpa’s first find. James wasn’t nearly as excited as I thought he would be. This is out on the same county road as my parents’ land. Lots of poison ivy kept us from getting the closest one, but since we visit often, we have plans to go back this winter after the “protective [...]
I’m exhausted and my brain is beyond functioning. David is working SO STINKIN’ MUCH these days. It’s almost sad no. it is sad. He works and works and works and works and works at the end of the school year all the way through the end of June, then he’s home ALL. THE. TIME. [...]
I’d wanted to post pictures from our day but the above photo just grabs my heart every time I see it. Overwhelming how much love I have for those four people, truly.
I will go ahead and post the pictures from our day but they have nothing to [...]

Yep. We’re homebodies. (This is *not* a complaint.) I’m lucky if I get out of the house more than once a week with the boys (not counting small group on Tuesday night) and I rarely take them shopping. So it’s no wonder that my house constantly looks like this:
Happy Easter.
We didn’t do any baskets, eggs, candy, dying, or any of that. I might be compelled to attempt to do a fraction of it if I didn’t have a wee little man, but everything. EVERYTHING. is harder with a baby. Maybe next year. That’s become my mantra. No bluebonnets? That’s okay. Maybe next [...]
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white [...]
If you can’t tell, this is quickly becoming my photo album sort of blog. More pictures of the trees (they are GROWING and quickly!!) – this first one is the Silver Maple. Ain’t she purty? The new baby leaves are red because they contain high levels of anthocyanin which help protect them from [...]
I have our meals planned through May 2nd, finally. I think the first Sunday of each month is unofficially my menu-planning day. Eventually, this will turn into once a month cooking but right now we simply do not have the freezer space for it. I made lasagna [...]
Sweet indeed!
It was blindingly bright.
We only stayed for about 40 minutes and got 2 pounds of strawberries, but the memories will last them a long time. At least, until the pumpkins are out again.
